INTRODUCTION
You are an innovation management professional who has encountered difficulties in detecting, selecting and/or supporting an innovation project within your organization. Let's start with an idea or development project for an innovative product (or service). In fact, there are three different cases where we find this problem of detecting, selecting and supporting innovation:
for the selection and development of ideas upstream of R&D projects;
in open innovation in competitions for innovative projects, or in extended enterprise when several companies join forces in innovation clusters or enterprise clusters to foster and control the development of innovations in an emerging technological, industrial, social or marketing sector ( Zimmer, 2012 ) ;
innovation funding bodies: chambers of commerce, regional or national innovation centers, incubators, private funders (business angels, venture capital management companies), private foundations, etc.
The aim of this fact sheet is to provide you with guidelines for professionalizing the selection and support of your innovation projects. It presents the SAPIGE® tool step by step. It enables innovation management professionals to familiarize themselves with a tool that can help them organize the selection process and reduce the risks of developing an innovation project that fails to create sufficient value for its ecosystem.
