The first section defined the concept of talent in the service of innovation. This second section will focus on talent management in the service of innovation: how can talent be managed to optimize and reconcile economic values (performance, profitability) and human values (social, societal)?
First, it will be interesting to distinguish between the different types of organizations that are currently interested in talent: rigid organizations (short-term vision, profit-focused, managerial style, self-centered leadership, top-down management, vertical) vs. flexible organizations (long-term vision, social/societal focus, entrepreneurial style, heterocentric leadership, horizontal/cross-functional management, inverted pyramid).
