5. What is the "cached" version of web pages?

For technical reasons, page content cannot be collected by robots in real time. The answers provided by the engine may correspond to versions of the pages from a day or two ago, or sometimes a little more. This depends on how often the robot visits the site and how often the site itself is updated.

This explains why, when you click on certain results, you sometimes get the annoying message "Error 404, page not found", or why, when you click on the title of a result that you thought was relevant, you see a page in which the words of the query have disappeared...

This means that since the robot's visit, the page has been deleted, moved to a different location on the site, or its content has been updated.

The "cached" version offered by certain search engines such as Google or Bing comes into its own. This is accessed...
