7. A roadmap for bio-printing?

In a recent article, Sun et al. have defined a roadmap for bioprinting. For these authors, bio-printing applications have progressed from early surgical planning models, inert implants and scaffolds of cells and cell packages to in vitro bio-printed models to study regenerative and physiological functions, the development of diseases and pathologies (including cancers) and drug screening using in vitro cell or tissue models.
