In the biomedical field, "historical" additive manufacturing technologies are being used more and more, for example to print osteosynthesis plates, custom-made prostheses, patient-specific cutting guides, anatomical models for planning operations, or to preform plates in order to save time and precision during surgery. Independently of organ printing, this craze may grow with the appearance on the market of consumer printers that are very accessible (financially and technologically).
