3. Conclusion

The successful design of rail vehicles asks for good understanding of the system, high technical competences and wide experience on the field as well as appropriate and advance simulation models, tools and methods to be used during the different design phases. Figure  53 illustrates the main railway dynamics activities within the whole engineering design process.
