Yes, for example, a temperature metrology laboratory might have as its performance indicator the calibration uncertainty it obtains at around 30°C, with results published once a month or once every 3 months.
When calibrations are outsourced, is it possible to ask the service provider for one or more performance indicators?
Yes, why not? But the choice of indicator should be made with the agreement of both parties: the principal and the subcontractor.
