5. Specify the frequency of publication of performance indicator measurement results

In the example given in the previous step (the number of calibrations or checks carried out in-house each month), the frequency of publication of results can vary from once a month to once a year. The frequency can also be set at once every six months. The choice of frequency depends on the actions that can be envisaged on the basis of the information provided by the indicator and the actions envisaged on the basis of the results. In all cases, as indicators are analyzed during management reviews, the frequency of updating must be at least that of the said reviews.
