4.1 Over-interpreting requirements
The scope of application of ISO 9001 defines the auditable objectives of any quality management system, i.e. the application to achieve expected results in terms of product and service conformity and customer satisfaction, as well as the existence of a continuous improvement process.
Of course, every company has other dimensions of performance, sometimes with contrary effects, and it is entirely advisable to apply good quality practices (planning, review, evaluation, improvement, etc.) to other subjects, while keeping in mind that the ISO 9001 standard is aimed solely at customer satisfaction and the conformity of the products and services supplied.
