 INTRODUCTION

Most of these other optical methods of non-contact dimensional measurement are based on the principles of triangulation, episcopy or ombroscopy, but their implementation is more complex. They lead to the development of measurement systems that complement the possibilities of the methods described in the article Non-contact measurement. Optical methods (part 1) , their scope of application is more restricted and specialized.

Time-of-flight telemetry and interferometry, on the other hand, use the finite propagation speed of light, which has not been exploited for the devices described in the first part [R 1 332].
