4. Laboratory organization

In this chapter, we address the various aspects of the metrology laboratory's general organization in terms of quality management, administrative operation and the various technical requirements necessary to ensure the production of technically valid results. These organizational aspects are also the key to the metrology laboratory's voluntary application for accreditation by a certified body. In this case, the day-to-day implementation of its organization will enable it to provide proof of its management system, the technical competence of its staff and the conformity and technical validity of the measurements and results it produces.
