2. Metrology laboratory infrastructure

In this section, we'll look at the various infrastructures required to run an electrical metrology laboratory. The aim is to specify the criteria and reference conditions of the facilities that enable the metrology laboratory to ensure that it has the best conditions compatible with its calibration possibilities. Initially, high-level specifications will be given for these infrastructures, corresponding to most NMI facilities, but which will then be adapted to meet the requirements of a metrology laboratory with national accreditation.

The characteristics and criteria of a metrology laboratory's premises are obviously closely linked to the quantities measured in the laboratory, which then defines the environment in which measurements and calibrations are carried out.
