Overview

ABSTRACT

CO2 emissions are becoming a critical issue for any company that wants to develop sustainably, even though currently no standards exist, only diverse methods. In France, the most widely recognized method is the Bilan Carbone® method. From the company's raw data, an assessment of the emissions produced by its activity can be established. This method is not a comparison tool; it facilitates the establishment of a plan of action to reduce emissions of CO2. The Bilan Carbone® method is compatible with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG), which is best suited to the notion of emissions accounting by product, but is not oriented towards action or reducing emissions.
