1.1 The challenges and obligations of European regulations

All agri-food companies are subject to a new and evolving European regulatory context, based on the principles of the New Regulatory Approach. The main objectives of these regulations are to :

  • facilitate the withdrawal from the market of products likely to present a risk to the consumer (obligation for rapid and targeted withdrawal);

  • and ensure consumer safety.
