4. Our advice

4.1 Update your analyses on a regular basis

The comparison with BAT must enable the operator, on the basis of plant data, to determine any deviations from the Community state of the art as defined in the BREFs. This state of the art is valid at a given moment for the techniques used to reduce emissions and energy consumption in a given sector of activity. It is therefore essential to keep abreast of developments in the BREFs and to take account of changes in your activities and facilities.
