3. Calculate the threshold indicated by the nomenclature to determine the classification regime

This threshold may correspond to a volume (m 3 or liter), tonnage, surface area (m 2 ), or hourly or daily product consumption.

The expression "less than or equal to" is often used. This means that the classification system changes as soon as the indicated classification threshold is exceeded by one unit. For example, in the case of heading n° 1530 of the nomenclature (deposit of paper, cardboard or similar combustible materials), you are subject to :

  • declaration (D) from 1,001 m 3 to 20,000 m 3 ;

  • registration (E) from 20,001 m 3 to 50,000 m ...
