5. Frequently asked questions
How do you keep track of nomenclature changes?
The best way to keep abreast of changes in the nomenclature is to set up a regulatory watch, either in-house, or through a specialist service provider.
What should I do if my facilities previously subject to authorization are now subject to Seveso authorization?
In this case, you can benefit from acquired rights, provided that your facilities have been duly commissioned and that you have informed the prefect of the change in classification regime within one year of publication of the decree modifying the nomenclature. In this case, your facilities will continue to operate under the authorization system; the requirements set out in your prefectoral authorization order will therefore continue to apply to your facilities.
