3. How can the EMS be integrated into existing system(s)?

The convergence of the three main standards for management systems ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 (then ISO 45001) and ISO 14001 has been facilitated since the publication of the 2015 versions. The standards have the same structure, some requirements are similar in all three standards, and all are based on the PDCA principle. Integrating the systems simplifies document management, brings consistency to company management and improves the effectiveness of QSE practices at all levels and in all activities, by avoiding redundancies and inconsistencies in operating procedures and instructions.
