1. Prefectoral declaration or "simple" declaration system

This regime potentially concerns any industrial activity involving hazardous products, installations or equipment covered by the ICPE nomenclature.

The operator is responsible for classifying and declaring one or more classified facilities. Prior to commissioning, a notification must be drawn up and forwarded to the Prefect, in accordance with a specific procedure described below. The Prefect then issues a proof of filing, enabling operations to begin.
