1. Know the regulations that apply to ICPE operators

The operator of an ICPE is subject to several regulations.

• Some of these regulations do not apply to the operator of an ICPE, such as environmental regulations (water, air, noise, waste, etc.), whose obligations are integrated into ICPE regulations. These regulations are in fact based on an integrated approach, which means that all environmental issues are dealt with in a single procedure: a single contact, a single authorization; the operator does not have to seek out his obligations in other texts, and his single contact is the ICPE inspector.
