5. Identify your obligations when receiving the public
The purpose of the regulations governing establishments open to the public (ERP) is to ensure the safety of public or private places welcoming customers or users other than employees (salaried workers or civil servants), who are protected by the rules governing santé et à la sécurité au travail .
Your installation may be located within the confines of an ERP. This could be the case, for example, for a laboratory operating within an educational establishment, or a refrigeration plant operating in a shopping mall. ERP regulations apply to areas accessible to the public.
