5. Our advice

5.1 Inform the ICPE inspector as soon as you become aware of a problem at your facility.

As soon as a problem is identified, inform your ICPE inspector as soon as possible of the nature of the problem, the circumstances, the seriousness and the corrective measures taken. It is advisable to do this both by telephone and by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.

The aim is to avoid administrative penalties under the ICPE regulations or environmental liability.
