2. Check that appendices are relevant
The first thing to do when you receive an SDS is to check that the appendices are relevant. It is not uncommon, for example, to see appendices for non-hazardous products, or appendices covering health and environmental risks when the substance is only hazardous to the environment.
The main points to consider are
if my product is non-hazardous, the presence of appendices is not justified;
if my product is classified only for the environment, the appendices must deal only with the environmental aspect (unless the product presents a particular health hazard not covered by the classification);
if my product is classified only for health, it is not automatic that this is the only aspect to be addressed in the annexes; in fact, the environmental classification...
