5. What to do in the event of non-covered use at the end of the compliance process?

IF your use is not covered, there are several possibilities:

  • contact your manufacturer and/or importer to update its appendices to cover your applications;

  • set up the OCs and RMMs recommended in the appendices;

  • look for another manufacturer and/or importer who covers your applications;

  • develop your own exhibition scenario to cover your own uses.

  • substitute the substance.

Your choice will depend on your time and resources. Substituting a substance is not an easy task, and writing an exposure scenario cannot be done by non-experts in REACh regulations.
