3. Authorization and Declaration: two different procedures?

3.1 Apply for water law authorization

This is the most cumbersome procedure, and concerns projects with a significant impact on the preservation and management of water resources.

The procedure is set out in articles R. 214-6 to R. 214-31 of the Code de l’environnement .

You must first submit a complete file to the departmental prefect, at least seven copies of which must be sent to the one-stop water police office.
