On a newly restored "wet" site, the question of site management is a major challenge, not only to ensure the site's long-term survival, but also to ensure that the project is well accepted by the local population. The expected benefits of a hydro-ecological project are not limited to the ecological or flood protection dimension alone. Several aspects need to be assessed at regular intervals: ecological impact on fauna and flora, impact on river water quality, respect for the site (damage, prohibited uses, waste, etc.) and cohabitation between different users.
