Self-consumption
The practice of consuming on-site the electricity generated locally (typically via solar panels or wind turbines installed on the building or parking canopies).
Onboard charger
An electronic converter built into the electric vehicle itself that converts alternating current (AC) from the charging network into direct current (DC) that can be absorbed by the battery cells.
Load curve
A graphical representation of the change in electrical power drawn by a building or infrastructure over a given period (typically measured in 10- to 30-minute intervals).
Crowding factor
A mathematical coefficient applied during electrical sizing that accounts for the fact that not all connected power-consuming devices operate simultaneously at their maximum power.
