5. Operating, maintaining, and upgrading the infrastructure

Installing a charging station is only the first step. The operational challenge lies in day-to-day operations to ensure that charging stations maintain an availability rate close to 100%. A company vehicle that cannot charge represents a direct operational loss for the business.

5.1 Software Monitoring and Day-to-Day Operations

Monitoring is the central management tool for the EV charging station operator. It takes the form of a cloud-based software platform connected to the stations via cellular networks (SIM cards integrated into the equipment). It allows users to:
