 INTRODUCTION

The ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards are well known for the design and interoperability of industrial IT applications. They provide a practical basis for designing the data center and management processes of a traceability system. This article draws on a superior ontology to discuss the use in traceability of the different models of these standards, which overlap to a large extent, with gaps and complementarities.
