ABSTRACT
The notion of corporate strategy (or general policy) has been progressively enriched since the founding contribution of Chandler, Ansoll and Andrews. This article deals with the main concepts, models and practices for diagnosis, decision-making, organization, planning and control of the company. It presents the main theories of corporate strategic management, governance and leadership under a synthetic form and following a conceptual and empirical approach. It is illustrated by recent examples from case studies written by the author and deposited at the Centrale des Cas et des Médias pédagogiques.
