 INTRODUCTION

The complexity of the systems to be developed and maintained throughout their lifecycle places new demands on manufacturers to guarantee contractual operational and economic performance.

In view of these new constraints, a multi-disciplinary team was set up, involving HSE and CHSCT managers, to identify improvements to be considered in the design of future systems to be developed, industrialized and maintained. Based on the company's repository of processes, methods and tools, one of the areas for improvement concerns the verification of maintenance operations during the design phase, by proposing a simple method for assessing the hazards impacting maintenance operators.

One of the main difficulties encountered during the development phase of a system or product is to demonstrate and guarantee the safety of maintenance operators as the design solutions studied evolve in maturity. The application of global processes within the extended enterprise facilitates the management and technical steering of the final design solution. For example, the technical processes of the IS , the SDF , the SLI , the ARPI, enable the identification and prioritization of technical risks resulting from failure mode analyses, their effects and their criticality.

However, during each design phase, it is always difficult to optimize the choice of architecture for the final product, as this depends on the level of maturity of the technological solutions chosen and their impact on maintenance operations, and therefore on people. Indeed, the hazards that could affect the maintenance operator must be identified and assessed by means of a decision analysis covering all work situations. Consequently, the results of these analyses must be used to define the various actions required to select the most effective solution best suited to the maintenance operator's situation...
