Selection criteria must be defined to ensure consistency with your own internal policy. These criteria must be both qualitative (quality of services provided) and linked to compliance with health and safety regulations.

For example, these criteria can be based on the management system of the contractor, using :

• to the health/safety/environment manual ;

• health/safety/environment results history ;

• health/safety/environment manager ;

• health, safety and environment management system certification/accreditation (or ongoing process);

• the reputation of the company providing the external service provider;
