Overview
ABSTRACT
A test bench consists of an assembly of items set up in a soundproof location where the operation of a part, an entire vehicle or an engine alone can be reproduced. This article addresses the means of specifically measuring bench testing engines. Thus, detailed are: measuring torque and speed (reversible as well as non-reversible machines), the various load controls, measurements of force and torque, measurements of frequency, velocity and acyclicism, measurements of fuel consumption as well as measurements relating to combustion. Also, the role played by atmospheric pollution is significant: source and measurement of loss, composition of gases, etc.
