2. Integral electronic ignition

2.1 Inductive ignition

Inductive ignition is the most widely used ignition system on today's spark-ignition engines. It works on the principle of the step-up transformer. The power supply, taken from the battery, and the command are transmitted to the coil by the engine control unit, and the high voltage is sent directly to the spark plug.
