1. Identify the real estate sectors concerned

Condominiums with more than fifty lots built before 2001 are required to carry out an energy audit of common and private areas if they are equipped with collective heating or cooling systems. When selling a property, an energy performance diagnosis (DPE) must be carried out, unless a valid DPE is already in place. A staggered rental ban will be introduced from 2025 for homes rated G, F, E and D.

What the Climate and Resilience Act says

The loi Climat et Résilience website requires the professional auditor to propose work to improve energy classification, accompanied by cost estimates and available financial aid.
