1. BEPOS or BEPAS label?

1.1 Reminder

The RE2020 regulation came into force on January 1 2022. It applies to all new buildings, but incrementally according to building type. Requirement thresholds will crescendo, with milestones in 2025, 2028 and 2030. Its main objective is to reduce energy consumption in new buildings by a factor of three, compared with existing constructions.

The second objective is to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions over the entire life cycle of the building. Finally, these regulations require buildings to adapt to global warming by ensuring sufficient summer comfort, even during heatwaves.
