2. What are the service provider's responsibilities and obligations?

We have just seen that facility management encompasses a range of services, the scope of which varies from company to company. To handle such a role, it is necessary to find a company or a manager with a versatile skill set. This manager, known as the facility manager, must be able to:

  • reduce the operating costs of infrastructure (buildings and equipment);

  • control overhead costs;

  • reduce energy consumption;

  • negotiate energy prices;

  • improve the site's energy efficiency.
