2. Choosing a low-GWP refrigerant
règlement F-Gas II (n° 517/014) , in force since January 1 er 2015, is a regulation covering fluorinated fluids. It meets the objectives of the Kyoto Protocol (which came into force in 2005) aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming.
One of the most important measures is a gradual reduction in the use of HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) fluorinated gases, according to the following timetable for the period 2015 to 2030 (see figure below).
