3.1 Constructive measures
In order to attach floor beams to a load-bearing system (joists to main beams, for example), as well as in multi-storey buildings, it is common practice to make so-called "articulated" connections, which are easy to assemble and inexpensive. Three types of joint are generally used for this purpose:
splice or web angle connection (see figure 29 a), in which two angles are bolted to the beam's load-bearing member and web. This design is the most common in France, avoiding the need for welding and facilitating adjustment thanks to the play in the holes;
