5. Controlling supplies

L' EN 1090-2 is based on a large number of standards, summarized in Article 2 "Normative references". Over a hundred of these relate to "component products" (steels, mechanical fasteners, welding consumables, cables, etc.).

Whether it's structural steels, hot-finished or cold-formed hollow sections, ordinary or prestressed fasteners, or welding consumables, the vast majority of commonly used products are covered by one (or more) European standard(s).

As part of the EN 1090-2 All products used must be selected from the European standards referenced in the text of the standard (chapter 2), and must be accompanied by a control document.
