1. Design and execution
Building a structure, whatever its nature, involves tackling two complementary aspects: design and execution, which can be seen as the two pans of the same scale, and whose technical and economic balance must be sought.
This analogy is explicitly reflected in the EN 1990 "Bases de calcul des structures", illustrated in the table below. 1 with extracts from articles 2.1 and 2.2 of this standard.
