6. Workshop operations

The manufacturing operations described in chapter 6 of the EN 1090-2 are those carried out in the workshop, using products from the iron yard or warehouse, and before shipment to the worksite or to a subcontractor (for surface treatment by galvanizing, for example).

These operations are generally :

  • DRILLING ;

  • Punching ;

  • thermal or mechanical cutting ;

  • marking ;

  • cold or hot forming operations.

The "question" posed by these operations, and to which the manufacturer must provide an answer, is always the same: the manufacturer must demonstrate his mastery of the processes used, and...
