3. Implementation constraints

Flux vector control variable speed drives cover a power range from 1 kW to 12 MW for supply voltages from 400 V to 6.6 kV. Variable speed drives are marketed as a standard product based on a catalog specification often referred to as "stand-alone", or as a customized product to meet a specific need for a particular application.

The industrialization of vector control of asynchronous cage machines for variable speed drives must take into account several technological constraints, which have a significant impact on the orientation of the rotor flux.
