Developer

Entity responsible for the overall structure of the project, its organization, and its economic viability. The overall structure of the project includes the roles of design office, developer, and operator. These roles may be performed by one or more separate entities. The developer is backed either by a local or international electricity distribution company, a specialized design office that may or may not be linked to an investor or bank (World Bank, African Development Bank), or an electrical equipment manufacturer.

Investor

Entity responsible for the financial arrangements for the project.
