4. ISO/IEC 250XX family of standards

4.1 Context

Since 2011, ISO/IEC 9126 and ISO/IEC 14598 have been replaced by the ISO/IEC 250XX family of standards, which have been revised as of 2017.

A new version was published in November 2023 under the title: Systems and Software Engineering – System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE – System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation) – Product Quality Models.

In fact, it's a set of standards comprising several documents. This series of standards concerns the quality requirements for a software product and the implementation of their evaluation: Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE).
