6.1 Measuring power dissipation

Measuring power dissipation requires a few precautions. A distinction is made between :
the power consumed as measured by the meter: this is the power paid for by the user, which may be far from the value of the power required by the mobiles (a ratio of around 1 to 3);
power delivered at motor shaft end: nominal value of motor power. It is deduced from the power consumed, minus the motor's mechanical and electrical efficiencies (cos and ρm);
