Overview
ABSTRACT
Chemical sciences, in constant evolution, are associated with more or less complex and transdisciplinary synthesis. Within this context, this article shows how integrative chemistry manages to compartmentalize chemical reactors via reactions triggered at the oil/water interfaces of diluted (dispersed chemical reactors) and concentrated (chemical reactors in contact) emulsions. As an illustration, some non-exhaustive examples of the morphosynthesis of advanced functional materials are provided in the heterogeneous biocatalysis, energy conversion and thermo-stimulated delivery of encapsulated substances domains.
