4. Conclusion

Despite the signature of the Chemical Weapons Convention by almost all the world's countries, the threat of chemical weapons is unfortunately still very real, as demonstrated by the Syrian conflict and the risk of chemical terrorism. In this context, the need for effective global decontamination methods (a single process capable of neutralizing any type of chemical warfare agent) in different formats (fut, shell, improvised device) and deployable on any type of terrain (urban, rural, battlefield, etc.) is imperative. In addition, it is essential to produce as little effluent as possible. So, while hydrolysis or oxidation methods using aqueous solutions have met with some success, the quantity of polluted water produced is considerable and requires very costly treatment.
