6. Conclusions and outlook

From the moment they are designed to the moment they are used by the consumer, via their storage or display at the point of sale, cosmetic products are inevitably subject to oxidation when they come into contact with one or more oxidizing factors, such as ultraviolet rays, oxygen, high temperatures or the presence of metal catalysts.

The choice of raw materials whose oxidation state is well established and rigorously respected enables formulation work to limit oxidation induced and catalyzed by oxidation products already present.

In addition, the choice of appropriate packaging, determined according to the product's future use and potential exposure, considerably limits the risks of degradation, particularly those generated by repeated contact with atmospheric oxygen and exposure to light.
