4. Plastic behaviors sensitive to hydrostatic pressure

While hydrostatic pressure does not directly influence the plastic deformation of conventionally-processed metal alloys, it does influence the development of damage during plastic deformation, as we saw in § 2.2 of the [42] dossier.

As these points are very important for predicting the quality of shaped parts, we will present them in some detail. Hydrostatic pressure also plays a major role in the behavior and density evolution of powder metallurgy products.
